Kim is a registered nurse who graduated from Nicholls State University in 1997 with an ASN, RN degree, after previously earning a Bachelor of Elementary Education. As a nurse, Kim began her career at Lafayette General Medical Center, where she worked on medical/surgical, skilled nursing, and rehab units until 2004. She continued her vocation at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Rehab unit, assisting patients to reach the maximum level of function prior to their discharge.

In 2006, she changed the direction of her nursing focus to include caring for patients in a home setting. While continuing to broaden her knowledge of home health nursing, Kim transitioned to case management, ensuring patients under her care received the best treatment and services possible. Her ability to develop rapport and communicate with patients helps ensure they receive the highest quality care.
