
Salina James, RN
Field Nurse
Salina is a native of Gray and resident of Thibodaux, LA . She graduated from Dillard University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her strong faith and guidance from her Pastor enabled her to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse.
She brings to Divinity 25 years of high level of nursing experience. She is a former Staff RN of TRMC and a Nurse Liaison for 1st A Southeast Companion Services. Salina loves to mentor, educate, guide, and lead others in all aspects of her career.
To fulfill this desire she serves as a preceptor for Nicholls State University College of Nursing and is the President of Bayou Region Black Nurses Association. She also continues to work with the Louisiana Lions League for Crippled Children since 2005. Her passion for caring for patients and extensive education and experience has now turned to the home health setting.
Salinas greatest accomplishments include: 2009 chosen 100 Great Nurses of Louisiana; 2014 Excellence Award as Nurse Clinician for Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing; 2017 Best of Lafourche Parish Excellence in Healthcare as Registered Nurse.
Salina is married to Stanford James, Jr. and the proud new mother of a 3-year-old baby girl, Ivy. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and church members. Salinas motto is, "Please be understanding with Him and patients: Encourage one another as you encourage yourself; for God is not finished with us yet."
